There are 40 buttons and 2 Red & White laces in the box:

• 10 Red Buttons
• 10 Blue Buttons
• 10 Green Buttons
• 10 Yellow Buttons

Each colour has 2 x Buttons with 1 hole, 2 x Buttons with 2 holes, 2 x Buttons with 3 holes, 2 x Buttons with 4 x holes and 2 x Buttons with 5 holes.

Thread the buttons onto the lace to practice fine motor skills, have fun matching colours and make patterns. It’s tricky to thread a button with 1 hole and very challenging to thread in and out of the ones with multiple holes.

Threading and lacing is a fantastic way to develop hand eye coordination, fine motor skills and dexterity. It encourages children use their wrists as well as their hands. The twisting and turning of the wrist is a valuable pre writing skill.
